Affiliate Terms
The short version.
- You earn 30% of every yearly payment from a customer you referred — the first year and every renewal for as long as they stay. On a $2,250 payment, that is $675.
- A commission is credited 14 days after each payment, if the payment has not been refunded or charged back by then. We pay monthly once your balance reaches $50.
- A referral counts if the customer creates an account within 60 days of using your link.
- When you promote us, the law treats your claims as ours. So: say in plain words that you earn a commission (“affiliate link” alone is not enough), no earnings or return claims, no P&L screenshots, and label any backtest as hypothetical.
- Break these rules and we can withhold commissions and end your participation.
1. The program and these terms
These terms are between you and [OWNER DECISION: legal name and postal address of the business. Recommended default: the same name, registration number and mailing address as Terms §1.1.], an Israeli business owned by Shaked Asher and trading as Trader Machine (“we”). They apply when you apply to, and take part in, our affiliate program for the US & Canada edition. Our Terms of Service also apply to any account you hold as a customer, and our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information.
2. Who can join
- You must be 18 or older, and we must approve your application. We may decline any application without giving a reason.
- You may not join if you are located in a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or appear on a U.S. restricted-party list.
- You may promote under a public nickname, but we must have your real name, contact details and payout details on file, and you must keep them current. Use an email address you monitor.
- One affiliate account per person or business.
3. How referrals are credited
- You receive a personal link and code. A customer is credited to you when they arrive through your link, or enter your code, and create their account within 60 days, in the same browser. Once the account is created, the referral is locked to it, and no later click on any affiliate's link moves it.
- If a visitor used more than one affiliate's link before creating an account, the referral goes to the most recent link used.
- You cannot earn commission on your own subscription, on accounts you control, or on members of your household.
- Attribution is decided from our records. If tracking fails — for example because the visitor blocked cookies — you may ask us to credit a referral within 30 days after the customer subscribes. Send the customer's name or email and your evidence; a written confirmation from the customer is the strongest. We decide from our records and the evidence, and our decision on the claim is final.
4. Commission and payouts
Rate. 30% of each yearly subscription payment we actually collect from a customer you referred, excluding taxes. On a $2,250 payment, that is $675.
Duration. The first payment and every yearly renewal, for as long as the customer stays subscribed and you remain in good standing.
When it is credited. A commission is credited to your balance 14 days after the payment, provided that by then the payment has not been refunded, voided or charged back by the customer's bank.
- What earns commission. Only yearly-plan payments. Direct Access payments and third-party fees (such as SignalStack's) do not.
- Reversals. If a payment is refunded or charged back after its commission was credited, we deduct that commission from your future commissions.
- Verification hold. We may hold a credited commission for up to 60 days if we see signs of fraud, self-referral or a breach of §5–7, or while a complaint about your promotion is open (§8). By the end of the hold we either pay it or tell you why it is forfeited.
- No reinstatement. A commission reversed or forfeited under these terms is not reinstated later.
- Payment. We pay monthly, in U.S. dollars, for commissions credited in the previous calendar month, once your balance reaches $50. Smaller balances roll over. We pay through [OWNER DECISION: the affiliate payout provider. Recommended default: PayPal, which pays affiliates in most countries in U.S. dollars; name the same provider in the Privacy Policy, §6.]. Your payout provider's fees are yours.
- Tax forms first. We pay only after we receive a valid tax form — Form W-9 for U.S. persons, or Form W-8BEN (or W-8BEN-E) for others.
- Your dashboard shows your referrals, active customers, and pending, credited and paid commissions. It shows each referral's email address with most characters hidden.
- Rate changes take effect at least 30 days after we email you, and apply only to payments made after that date — never retroactively.
5. How to promote us
Describe us as what we are: research software for US stocks — charts, scanners, the Strategy Builder and backtests, AI QUANT (an AI), the earnings calendar and education — sold by a business that is not a broker and does not give investment advice. Everything you say must be true and something you can back up. In every promotion:
- Disclose the commission in plain words, clearly and before the link or the pitch — for example, “I earn a commission if you buy Trader Machine through my link.” In a video, say it aloud and show it on screen. “Affiliate link” alone, a hashtag buried at the end, or a disclosure behind “more” is not enough, and a platform's built-in label does not replace your own words.
- Include a risk line: “Trading involves risk of loss. Not investment advice.”
- Label any backtest or AI QUANT result “hypothetical backtest” and link to our Risk Disclosure.
- If you mention the price, state it accurately — $2,250 per year, renews automatically, no free trial, no refunds — and use only discounts or codes we have given you in writing.
- Promote only to people in the United States and in Canada outside Québec.
6. What you may never do
- Promise, suggest or imply profits, income, returns or a win rate — including “pays for itself”, “replace your salary”, “financial freedom” or “guaranteed”.
- Show profit-and-loss screenshots, account statements, brokerage screens or trade-win compilations, yours or anyone else's, in connection with us.
- Use results claims about other customers or students (“my students made…”), imply that any result is typical, or use testimonials you cannot verify.
- Present a backtest or AI output as real trading, as a forecast, or without the “hypothetical” label.
- Post trade ideas, trades or results in a channel where you also promote us, unless you label each one as real, paper (simulated) or hypothetical, and report how each one turned out — losses as well as gains.
- Say or suggest that we are a broker or adviser, that the software trades for people or picks winning stocks, or that anyone can trade “risk-free”.
- Give personal trading advice as part of promoting us, or pose as our staff, our support or a customer with no connection to us.
- Invent urgency, scarcity or discounts, or show “was” prices.
- Write fake reviews, buy reviews, or review us without disclosing your commission.
- Target any country outside the United States and Canada, residents of Québec, or anyone under 18.
- Send unsolicited email, text messages or direct messages, mass-message people, or post in private groups or channels without the owner's permission. Follow anti-spam laws, including CAN-SPAM and Canada's CASL.
- Use our name, or anything confusingly similar, in a domain, social handle, app or business name.
7. Paid ads, brand terms and traffic
- No brand bidding. Do not bid on our name, product names, or misspellings of them in search or social ads, or use them as keywords, in ad copy, in metadata, in hidden text or in display URLs.
- Paid ads need approval. Do not run paid ads that mention us without our prior written approval of the ad, the landing page and the targeting. Approved ads must follow each platform's rules for financial products. We may withdraw an approval at any time.
- Coupon, deal and cashback sites, and offering customers rebates or gifts for using your link, require our prior written approval.
- No manipulated traffic: no cookie stuffing, forced or hidden clicks, pop-unders, adware, bots, incentivised clicks, or anything that credits you for a customer you did not really refer. Any of these is a material breach.
8. Monitoring, complaints and remedies
- We check affiliates' promotions from time to time and keep a record of what we find. We may ask you to correct or remove content; do so within 48 hours.
- We may ask you to back up any claim you have made. For claims about trading results, we may ask for broker statements or independent verification. Cooperate within 7 days. We keep what you send confidential and use it only for the review. If you cannot back a claim up, remove it.
- Anyone can report an affiliate's marketing by emailing support@tradermachine.com with the subject “Affiliate report”. While we look into a report, we may hold your payouts.
- If you break §5–7 we may, depending on how serious it is: require changes; withhold or reverse commissions on referrals connected to the violation; forfeit unpaid commissions for serious or repeated violations; end your participation; and report the conduct to the platform or a regulator.
9. Our brand and materials
While you take part, you may use our name, logo and the materials we supply, unchanged, only to promote us under these terms. That permission ends when your participation ends; remove our materials promptly afterwards.
10. Independent contractor; taxes
You are an independent contractor. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent or partner, and you may not make promises or statements on our behalf beyond what §5 allows. You pay your own costs and are responsible for your own taxes.
11. Term, changes and termination
- Either side may end your participation with 30 days' email notice. We may end it immediately if you materially breach these terms; for a breach that can be fixed, we first give you 48 hours to fix it.
- We may change these terms, or close the program, with 30 days' email notice. Continuing to take part after a change takes effect means you accept it.
- When your participation ends, we pay commissions already credited, unless they are held, withheld or forfeited under §4 or §8.
- If we close the program, or end your participation for a reason other than your breach, you keep earning on renewals of customers you referred for as long as they stay subscribed. If you leave, or we end your participation for a breach, renewal commissions stop.
12. Disclaimers, liability and indemnity
- The program, your link, tracking and your dashboard are provided “as is”. We do not promise that tracking works in every browser or device, or that you will earn any amount.
- We are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the commissions we paid you in the twelve months before the claim.
- You will compensate us for claims, fines, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your marketing or your breach of these terms.
13. Disputes
You take part in the program as a business. Disputes about the program are resolved under §24–25 of the Terms of Service, except that the consumer opt-out in §25.7 and the rule for consumers in Canada in §25.8 do not apply to you.
14. General
- Each of us confirms it has the right and capacity to enter these terms.
- You may not transfer these terms. We may transfer them to a successor of our business.
- If a provision is unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right does not waive it.
- Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. This does not excuse a payment that is due.
- These terms and the documents they refer to are the entire agreement about the program.
- Notices go by email: to the address on your affiliate account, and to support@tradermachine.com for us.
- §4 (for commissions already credited), §8, §10, §12 and §13 survive the end of your participation.
